Yoga is not a theory, but a practice; a systematized science (spiritual) that brings in a transformation of human consciousness that has a further impact on the surroundings. One should see the utility of Yoga beyond its empirical/ physical benefits. The book in hand has taken its shape because of the functioning of hundreds of schools and institutes across the globe which have touched only the periphery of life, which have so complicated the basic Yoga as a spiritual science that only a very few countable can know what exactly it is. Constant reorientation is felt as the need of the hour. The crispy discourses, presented in a lucid style and supplemented by thirty-six brief dialogues between two imaginary personae, throw fresh light on Yoga and are expected to fulfill the sadhaka’s real thirst to learn this beautiful spiritual science handed down to us by our sages from the Vedic times, chiefly by the great sage Patanjali. The readers, most assured, may find these discourses more useful, interesting, appealing, and enlightening.
