The Vakyapadiya of Bhartrhari: Kanda II

This book contains the text of Bhartrhari’s Vakyapadiya Kanda II the commentary of Punyaraja and as ancient Vrtti ascribed to Bhartrhari. The text of the Tika of Punyaraja has not been mixed up with the text of ancient Vrtti. For the text of Karikas followed by the Tika-kara differs widely from the text of Karikas followed by the Vrttikara. Hence the Karikas had to be repeated unavoidably. Among the other peculiarities of this Kanda mention may be made of an exhaustive foreword by Prof. Ashok Aklujkar and an Index of verses by the editor.
